Are you done with being frustrated? Tired of not being able to do anything?
We got news for you: It’s time for action – and this time, we’re doing it through what we all know and love: food!
Join us on Sunday, January 26 2025, at Oase Rotterdam for Chefs for Freedom, a culinary charity event that unites food entrepreneurs and chefs in the Netherlands to take positive action for Palestine and Lebanon. Together, we’ll celebrate and decolonize the food scene by supporting these two regions.
What’s on the menu?
A high-end vegetarian friendly 4 course dinner crafted by renowned chefs, including Baladi Manouche, Team Sexyflavors, Freshtable, mimoza, and more. Each dish tells a story of resilience, culture, and freedom.
Live cooking that brings Palestinian and Lebanese flavors to life.
Inspiring panel talks hosted by Mounir Toub about food and decolonization and tangible actions featuring thought-provoking speakers from BDS Netherlands (Boycott Divest Sanction), Rotterdam Palestina Coalitie (RPC), PGNL (Palestijnse Gemeenschap Nederland), Plant an Olive Tree and more.
A special film session on the decolonization of food, highlighting why this movement matters.
Why we’re doing this:
All proceeds will go directly to:
Plant an Olive Tree – Supporting Palestinian farmers by planting olive trees.
FoodBlessed – Combating food insecurity and waste in Lebanon.
